Ad Hoc Coalition
member organizations represent hundreds of thousands of individuals
who spent their careers loyally working for some of the largest,
most prominent and prosperous companies in the nation. We trusted
our employers to make good on their promises that our hard work
would be acknowledged and compensated during our "golden
years". Instead, these companies unfairly and unjustifiably
cancelled or cut the pension and retiree health benefits we
worked long and hard to earn.
We have joined together
to educate policymakers and the public about the need to put
an end to broken retirement promises.
During the recent
campaign we contacted the presidential candidates and appeared
at their rallies to ask them to sign a "Fulfilliing the
Promises" pledge. Now we are working at the grassroots
and national level to make broken retirement promises a national
issue.
